July 2011

We were able to spend last 4th of July with Joshua and Angella in Salt Lake City.  We had a great time at their Ward breakfast and enjoyed fun activities with Emma, Eilis, and Hollie.  We watched a parade, played games, and ofthe highlight of the morning was the face painting.  Later that night Josh and Kevin entertained us with fireworks and root beer floats.

Father's Day, June 2011

As soon as school was out for the summer, I headed to California for a 2 week visit with my Mom and Dad.  It was nice to be there for Father's Day and have Ruthie and Ken come from Napa for the afternoon.  Another treat...Kim and Blythe came for the weekend!  It took Blythe maybe five minutes to wrap Papa around her little finger.  She nicknamed him "Trouble", and whenever she would see him coming down the hallway she would always say,"Here comes Trouble."

The Beginning of Summer 2011

We started our 2011 summer in May with a quick trip to Iowa to celebrate with Kate and Jonathan when he received his Doctorate Degree from the University of Iowa.  Kevin and I really enjoyed the drive through Nebraska and Iowa and are looking forward to a return trip May 2012 for Kate's graduation!
