HAPPY SUNDAY! We had a really great Sacrament Meeting today. Chris Riggs spoke about how the Holy Ghost can help us and how sometimes we don't even understand why. He used the talk by Elder Bednar that I wanted all of you to watch a couple of weeks ago. If you haven't had a chance yet, do it! It will make you smile. The link is posted on the blog from two or three weeks ago.
Obviously, Dad did not have surgery this week. We got to the Center and had him all checked in - he even had the party hat on (as the nurse called it, and wish I would have taken a photo), but when the doctor came in and looked at the rash he was a little hesitant, and then he came back a few minutes later and said he wanted to postpone for a couple of weeks so Dad could get the rash treated. He has been taking Prednisone this week, but I'm sure that it has really helped that much. His surgery is rescheduled for next Monday and hopefully he will be ready by then.
We had a great snowstorm this week - about 5 inches worth. I was just getting ready to put my boots on and go out to shovel when Paul called. He said he and his dad were at Costco and he asked if he could come shoved for me. WOW! He shoved my driveway and sidewalks, and then did the same of both of our neighbors that live on each side of us. Thanks Paul!!!He couldn't get the bird to land on the stick, but he sure did a great job with the snowblower 💜
While Paul was outside working, Lily told us a fun story about Samantha. That's what little sisters do, right? Apparently, Sammi had a mouse in her room - I'm sure it caused a lot of excitement and chaos, and Sammi wanted to catch it so she could put it outside. When she finally found the mouse, according to Samantha, he had already died of a heart attack, and she was so sad she cried. When she was little, she used to talk about being a veterinarian, and what a great one she would be. She has a heart of gold and her animals would never be neglected - even the mice. Samantha did give me permission to tell this story.
